HOW LONG WILL 1,000 MINUTES OF VIDEO-CALLS LAST?
This obviously depends on how much the device is used, but at present the average usage of Nonny is 5 minutes a day. At this rate, 1,000 minutes will last you 200 days – almost 7 months!
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I HAVE USED UP THE 1,000 MINUTES?
Nonny will automatically alert all the contacts who are configured as “administrators” that the minutes are running out, thus giving ample time to purchase more minutes. This can be done in the “PURCHASE” section of the website. When purchasing additional minutes, the unique identity code of the device must be entered to allow minutes to be registered.
WHERE DO I FIND THE UNIQUE NONNY IDENTITY CODE (NONNY ID)?
All the information regarding the device is easily accessible by touching the Nonny logo at the top centre of the main screen – the information window will then appear.
HOW MUCH DO THE MINUTES OF CONVERSATION COST? WHERE CAN I BUY THEM?
Packages of 250, 500 and 1,000 minutes are available. The prices are detailed in the Purchase section. Once you have purchased them, the minutes never expire, but remain available for when you need them.
HOW ARE THE MINUTES USED UP?
The minutes are used through the video-calls, incoming and outgoing, made from a Nonny device to a client App (the application loaded on Android or iOS). If calls are made from one Nonny to another, the minutes will be deducted from the caller’s device.
IS NONNY A PHONE?
No. Nonny is a new device which uses data links to the internet to communicate. There is thus no need to rely on a telephone line connection, nor to memorise telephone numbers which can be difficult to remember. Calls to land line telephones cannot be made.
Nonny is absolutely ready-to-use because you just have to touch the photo of the person you want to call to start the video-call, thanks to the link with the Nonny mobile app which makes the connection.
WHAT ARE THE BEST CONDITIONS FOR USE?
Nonny requires a good internet connection, through WiFi or 4G data SIM (not included). To use the App, we suggest that the video-call be made from a smartphone using headphones and landscape visual screen.
WHAT NEW DEVELOPMENTS ARE ON THEIR WAY?
Improvements are always in the pipeline. Nonny owners will automatically receive all updates free of charge. As far as the Android and iOS Apps are concerned, the updates will be notified and must be downloaded, as normal, from Google Play and Apple Store respectively.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM OPERATING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED FOR THE NONNY APPLICATION?
The Nonny client App requires at least version 5.0 (Lollipop) for Android smartphones and at least version 11.0 iOS for Apple devices.
WHY DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MINUTES OF CONVERSATION?
In order to provide quality service, together with ensuring stability and safety, Nonny does not use free open-source services. Nonny relies on videocommunication infrastructures at enterprise level which operate on a global scale, and which are protected by end-to-end communication coding, guaranteeing stability and performance.
These infrastructures charge by the minute, albeit at a very low cost.
Nonny has chosen the path of quality and safety, because we think that a minimum cost is worth ensuring a high quality service.
